BREAKFAST
“One of our favourites is a little organic Italian café, hidden away in Santa Eulalia Marina, called Granarium. All of the breads are made on the premises and the juices, tostadas and pastries are all super-cheap. Plus, if you need a hair of the dog, a glass of organic prosecco will only set you back three euros, which is unheard-of in Ibiza. This is an all-year-round favourite, because their outdoor seating catches the winter morning sunshine too. Since most of Melon Bomb are veggie and vegan, if you’re staying on the other side of the island, Vegan Point in San Antonio is an absolute winner. Order the waffles... you can thank us later!”
LUNCH
“If you want to have a beautiful lunch that brings you out into Ibiza’s colourful countryside — especially in spring when the fields are filled with poppies and cherry blossom — we all love La Paloma, in San Lorenzo (pictured above). Eat in the garden amongst the lemon and olive trees — bringing your partner or family here offers a surprise contrast from the clubbing scene. The salads are photo-worthy, accompanied with a giant flat- bread and hummus — you won’t leave feeling hungry. For a beach lunch and closer to Ibiza Town, hit up Hostal Talamanca. Order their Paella — they have a great veggie one too — and a few jugs of Sangria and you’ll blend in with the locals who favour this spot all year round.”
DINNER
“There are so many amazing dining experiences on the island, we really are spoilt for choice. All of us appreciate great food, but during the summer we are all so busy with our Melon Bomb parties and our individual residencies that we rarely get to eat together. When we do have an evening off and we want to drop a bit of cash, Es Tragon is the one. It’s local Ibicencan food, done really, really well. Wherever you are on the island, it’s well worth making the trip to Cala Gracio to have dinner here — you have to try the tasting menu, it’s out of this world.
“For those who want a great feed for a quarter of the price and the hustle and bustle of a local bar, Can Terra in Ibiza Town is so much fun. They have a huge selection of pinxos ready to eat on the bar which are two euro, the wine starts at one-euro- fifty and you can get a sharing plate of lamb chops or langoustines for under fourteen euro — it really is great food at great value.”
BARS
“Around the port in Ibiza Town are two of our favourite bars, Paradise Lost and Malanga, which are loved by the locals — the latter is a winter spot for some of our Melon Bomb parties, too. Before you head out for your ‘big’ night, start at one of these bars for some well-priced and well-made drinks, plus some seriously good eclectic music, from Balearic, hip-hop to funk and everything in between.”
CLUBS
"Though not a club as such, the place that to us personifies Ibiza — and is Melon Bomb’s spiritual home — has got to be Pikes. The surroundings, the vibe, the staff and some of the best music on the island make Pikes extra special and we are very excited to be kicking off our fourth season there in June."
