Gorillaz, Peggy Gou, more feature in Fifa 19 soundtrack

Gorillaz, Peggy Gou, Young Fathers and Bob Moses are among the artists featured in the forthcoming Fifa 19 video game soundtrack.

Set for release on 28th September, this year’s edition of annual EA Sports football game boasts an extensive, genre-spanning soundtrack that can be listened to in full below via a Spotify playlist.

The soundtrack – which is always a talking point with these games – features the usual indie rock, R&B and hip-hop cuts from the likes of Death Cab For Cutie, Courtney Barnett, Childish Gambino and Kojey Radical. This year, though, the curators of the playlist have cast a gaze to more electronic spheres with Peggy Gou’s massive Ninja Tune single ‘'It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)' featuring alongside Gorillaz’ 2018 single ‘Sorcererz’ and Bob Moses’ forthcoming album track ‘Heaven Only Knows’.

Also appearing in the soundtrack is the recent single, ‘Genius’, from LSD, the “supergroup” of sorts comprised of Diplo, Sia and Labrinth.

The appearance of 'It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)' in the game is just another step toward world domination from Peggy Gou, who last week revealed that she would be launching a new fashion line and a brand new record label. 

This isn't the first time Diplo has had a brush with Fifa either, having helped out earlier this year in producing a World Cup track featuring Will Smith.
