DJ Harvey set to star in next Mission: Impossible film

The icon will play himself in the movie's club scene...

DJ Harvey is set to star in the next Mission: Impossible film, with the London-born, LA-based icon appearing as himself in the flick.

Opening in UK and US cinemas on 27th July, 'Mission: Impossible— Fallout' is the latest in the long-standing Tom Cruise series of movies, and will involve a cameo from the decade-spanning selector and man responsible for launching Pikes Records, real name Harvey Bassett. It's not clear exactly how the nightclub scene will fit in with the plot, but we're looking forward to finding out.

“His filming took place while on tour last summer over three days and nights in the week leading up to one of his gigs at Concrete Paris,” a representative of Bassett told Crack magazine.

"The movie is a wild ride," according to a post on DJ Harvey's Instagram profile, meaning fans had better get ready to buckle up in the same way they do for one of his epic sets. Ever the entertainer, read what happened when DJ Mag caught up with him last year
