The fourth gig of our Australian tour sees us hit the Gold Coast after a quick drive from Brisbane, where we had played the night before at a club called The Monastery with the Stafford Bros DJs.

By the way they party like Alex P and Brandon Block!

It was a top gig, with an eager crowd, who were into their electronic-tinged house music.

The scene over here is really vibrant and every gig has been rammed and the clubbers really know their tunes.

The dominant sound is electro/electronic house and the biggest tracks so far have been Kupon's 'Zoom In', Alex Gopher's 'Motorcylce' and Fedde Le Grande's 'Put Your Hands Up For Detroit'.

We had a few days to relax in Melbourne so we hit the shops and restaurants hard, our favourite being Longrain which does awesome Thai food.

The rain has been really heavy for most of the day but by early evening it has started to clear up.

We arrive at Platinum (the main club in town) and recognise a few clubbers that have made the trip over from Melbourne!

We start at 1am and play till 3, keeping the energy high throughout.

The club isn't rammed, but the dancefloor is tight and busy with a good atmosphere - maybe the weather kept a few people away?

We drop Trentemoller's mix of The Knife which really rocks, and after our set have a drink with the promoter Joey.

Although he wants us to stay and party we head back to the hotel as we have a flight to Sydney tomorrow.

SATURDAY 29TH JULY

We head to the airport for a two hour flight to Sydney where we are playing at Scott Robinson's KINK party at the Arthouse Hotel.

We get into Sydney late afternoon, where we meet up with an old friend Christian (we all used to live on the same street together in Leicester).

We hadn't seen each other for a couple of years so it was great catch up, Christian has also set up a download site in Australia called Zooloader with Mark too, so there was a little bit of business to discuss!

We head out to dinner to an Italian restaurant called 'Need To Get Name!' with some friends, Raff the promoter of One Love, and the guy who put the tour together joins us.

We get to the club and boy is it rammed – it's only 12.30am and it's going off!

We start with Alex Gopher's 'Motorcycle' and keep grooving it for the first 30 mins, then the Simian Mobile Disco remix of Peaches 'Downtown' works a treat, and we keep the energy flowing with the TV Rock mix of our own 'Something On Your Mind'.

We finish our set and listen to resident Ben Morris tear it up.

Scott the promoter hasn't left the booth all night and has been dancing and shouting all the way through!

We head to a house party and chill there for an hour before we crash back at the hotel around 9am.

SUNDAY JULY 30TH

We spend most of Sunday just relaxing and recovering from last night's awesome party.

We head to Bondi Beach for lunch and to help our recovery - it's so beautiful and peaceful.

Our last gig of the tour is at SMUT at LADY LUX, which is a small Sunday club in Kings Cross, again promoted by Scott.

It only holds about 200 people, and is hot, hot, hot!

We make our set a bit edgier, dropping Mr Oizo's 'Nazis', the Nightmoves remix of Freeform Five, and Digitalism In Cairo, plus loads of noisier bits.

Here you can really push things musically it seems.

It's a great end to a fantastic tour.

Australia has a great music scene that's so vibrant and up for it, and we can't wait to come back and party with the Toadfishes in Australia as soon possible.
