Dimitri From Paris to release remix album celebrating Nile Rogers and Chic

Some of Dimitri From Paris’ beloved remixes of classic Chic, Sister Sledge and Norma Jean tracks will feature on a new album on Glitterbox Recordings.

‘Dimitri From Paris Presents Le Chic Remix’ will be released on 8th June on vinyl, digital and CD. Intended to celebrate the work of legendary disco duo Nile Rodgers & Bernard Edwards and Chic, it features five of the DJ/producer’s classic, now ubiquitous edits including Chic’s ‘Le Freak’ and ‘I Want Your Love’, Sister Sledge’s ‘Lost In Music’ and ‘Thinking of You’ and Norma Jean’s ‘Saturday’.

As well as those well known edits getting a re-issue in this neat bundle, there will also be five brand new edits on the release. Chic’s ‘Forbidden Lover’ and ‘I Feel Your Love Coming On’, Sister Sledge’s ‘He’s The Greatest Dancer’ and ‘Got To Love Somebody’ and SB Devotion’s ‘Your Love is Good’ all get brand new reworks on this hefty collection.

In the two-disc bundle, the second CD will feature instrumental mixes of each edit.

Dimitri From Paris’ remixes of classic disco tracks are a long-celebrated fixture in many a world-renowned DJ’s record bag, from Frankie Knuckles to Disclosure, Gilles Peterson to Mark Ronson and beyond.

As well as releasing this collection on their label, Dimitri will be play ten times at Glitterbox Ibiza this summer.

Dimitri is also the creator of one of our all time favourite Prince edits.
