Brighton Music Conference unveils packed 2018 programme featuring Irvine Welsh

Brighton Music Conference (BMC) has unveiled its programme for 2018, with more than 160 guest speakers, over 30 talks and panels, and a host of other events, running from 25th to 28th April at The Dome and other venues across the city. 

Key names to remember include Scottish novelist and cultural icon, Irvine Welsh, who will be interviewed by DJ Mag Editor, Carl Loben, Defected house spinner Sam Divine, Eats Everything, Waze & Odyssey, Mark Knight, this year's Best of British Soldier of the Scene award-winner, Luke Solomon, and London Elektricity. 

The UK's top electronic music industry event, BMC is now in its fifth year, and sets out to educate attendees on all aspects of working professionally in the dance scene; from studio production to artist management. Alongside DJ Mag, fabric, Beatport, Tru Thoughts, Hospitality, Ram Records, Women Produce Music, Funktion One, Pioneer, LWE, and Fuse are amongst the partners hosting various aspects of the four-day offering. 

Professional Programme talks and panels this time include Mental Health In The Electronic Music Industry, Times Up For Sexual Harrassment (hosted by our good selves), Is the Underground Underground Anymore, and Diversity Is A Reality- Inclusivity Is The Goal. Meanwhile, the Academy Programme will cover topics like Getting Paid For Your Creativity in association with PRS For Music, an organisation we have worked with extensively in the past, How Much Is Your Hearing Worth, and Multi-Tasking In The Music Business, featuring dnb legend Friction. Radio 1 Newsbeat will also be holding a discussion on drug testing, and another on Brexit.
