Aïsha Devi’s ‘Light Luxury’ on Fabric’s Houndstooth is an intense, electronic exploration: Listen

Swiss experimental electronic producer Aïsha Devi has shared the third single to be lifted from her forthcoming sophomore album ‘DNA Feelings’.

Set for release on 11th May via Fabric Records offshoot Houndstooth, ‘DNA Feelings’ finds the artist and Danse Noire label head venturing even further into her unique, trance-inducing brand of electronica. Fusing propulsive beats, ambient textures and ferocious synth stabs, Devi creates an intense atmosphere that is dizzying in both a live setting and on headphones.

‘Light Luxury’ finds Devi pushing her vocal prowess to the fore, with altered, layered singing soaring on the footwork-esque foundation of the track. Her voice has, throughout previous releases, consistently been her most powerful instrument, incorporating elements of Tibetan throat singing and spiritual styles into her technique.

An artist who channels “metaphysical research, ritualistic practice and healing frequencies into an alternate club paradigm”, Devi’s forthcoming album is set to be one of the summer’s most exhilarating and engaging electronic releases.
